About this colour
Viridian Hue closely replicates the character of genuine Viridian - the soft, cool blue-green beloved by the Impressionists. The result is a more accessible, less intense version of Phthalo Green with a softer, semi-opaque body that is far more forgiving to work with.
The cooler, slightly desaturated quality of Viridian Hue makes it ideal for painting cool shadows in foliage, tinted glass, sea and sky reflections, and the subtle greenish light of overcast days. It layers and glazes cleanly, and blends naturally with both warm and cool palette colours.

Why choose tubes?
Watercolour tubes contain more glycerine binder than pans, giving the paint a soft, creamy texture that mixes instantly with water. A small amount from the tube goes a very long way - making tubes ideal for large washes and expressive, generous brushwork.
Leave it to dry - reactivate anytime
Squeeze out what you need and leave the rest on your palette. When the paint dries, simply mist with a little water and it reactivates fully - as workable as when it was first squeezed. No cleaning needed between sessions, and nothing is ever wasted.
